What Will We Talk About?
The mini-course program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of climate policy as one of the most critical factors in modern socio-economic development.
- Topic 1. Fundamentals of Climate Policy and Global Trends. Understand the mechanisms of international climate cooperation, learn about Belarus’s current commitments and strategies, and discuss the impact of global processes on national and local development.
- Topic 2. The European Green Deal. Experts will examine this large-scale strategy for transforming the EU’s economy and society, which is already having an impact far beyond the borders of the European Union. We will discuss the potential implications of this policy for Belarus and how to adapt to the new conditions.
- Topic 3. The Role of Cities and Regions in Climate Solutions. Belarus remains one of the most urbanized countries in the region, meaning that cities are uniquely positioned to become key platforms for implementing climate initiatives, fostering innovation, and driving cooperation between local authorities, business, and civil society.
