“Green Belarus” is an alliance that brings together organizations, initiatives, expert, academic, and local communities, as well as activists who share green values and a vision of a green future for Belarus<\/a>.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our vision views virtually all spheres of society’s life through a green lens. Our mission is to prepare the green transition for Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This path will allow Belarus to ensure genuine independence\u2014energy, economic, and political\u2014and lay the foundations for democracy, sustainable development, and social prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are convinced that the “green” transformation is not a limitation, but an opportunity for Belarus’s development, economic well-being, social justice, and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We develop and promote the ideas of sustainable development so that ecology, economy, and democracy go hand in hand. Our goal is to be a key voice in discussions and inspire people to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our History<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The “Green Belarus” Alliance was established in 2023 in search of new forms to preserve and develop the Belarusian green movement. We preserve the experience and expertise accumulated over decades and strive to direct them toward solving modern challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We consider ourselves part of the European green family and the global green movement. We share the principles of the Global Greens Charter and the Earth Charter, as well as the principle of “thinking globally, acting locally and globally simultaneously.” We strive for cooperation at both regional and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Green transformation of the economy: striving for maximum resource and energy efficiency, a circular economy, climate neutrality of cities and industries, and the use of “green technologies.”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
